Position Overview: Within the Energy Carriers Business Line, the Plant and Piping Department is seeking a Piping Material Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing piping material specifications based on contractual documents.
- Preparing material requisitions (technical supply specifications) for the procurement of piping components.
- Conducting technical evaluations of bids for piping components.
- Managing supplier documentation following order issuance.
- Providing site assistance as required.
The Piping Material Engineer will engage in FEED and EPC projects, ensuring compliance with established deadlines. The role requires adaptability within a technical environment that utilizes advanced software and digital platforms for design and material management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in English.
Employment Type: Permanent contract
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASME/ASTM/EN and client-specific standards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in PUMA, Aveva ERM, Smart Plant Material, and Microsoft Office.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
Location: Milan (MI)
Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel for both domestic and international assignments for extended periods, including work at engineering centers and construction sites.
Contract Type: Permanent, with a salary package commensurate with experience.
