Our Client: A multinational FMCG company operating in the ice cream industry is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead their breakthrough innovation laboratory.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient execution of projects that transform long-term strategic goals into innovative ice cream products. They will work closely with key stakeholders, including marketing strategists, to ensure alignment and success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop new breakthrough products according to the company's long-term priorities, in full alignment with the innovation center head and marketing strategist.
- Ensure the timely and efficient execution of all laboratory tests in accordance with evolving legislation, ensuring analytical and interpretative reliability to protect the consumer.
- Ensure laboratory analysis, tests, and research in projects, supporting the related decision-making process.
- Provide sampling required for tastings, consumer analysis, supporting the decision-making process.
- Ensure full compliance with the company's IT system/tools.
- Collaborate with group technology subject matter experts to pre-assess product technical principles.
- Collaborate with other S&I labs and group functions to assess and identify the most suitable semi-finished products/ingredients/raw materials.
- Oversee the technological evolution of new laboratory equipment and evaluate the advantages related to their use, to propose investments.
- Be accountable for managing people assigned, ensuring a management system based on company values, motivation, competence development, and empowerment.
- Recruit, manage, motivate, coach, and develop own team.
- Guarantee human resources professional development, evaluating people and proposing development initiatives.
Requirements:
- MS or PhD degree in Food Engineering, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in a multinational FMCG company.
- Strong skills with MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- English professional proficiency required, any other language is a plus.
Location: South Piedmont, Italy
