Job Description

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Rome. As a key member of our Supply Chain & Operation team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic supply chain and operation plans to drive business growth and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supply chain and operation strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Define a detailed value proposition in line with business goals and development objectives.
  • Manage supply chain management projects to optimize processes, information flows, and physical flows, with a focus on sustainability (Scope 3) and traceability.
  • Collect user and functional requirements.
  • Redesign processes and flows (physical and logical), analyze As Is and design To Be.
  • Conduct impact assessments in economic, organizational, environmental, and social dimensions of the supply chain and operations (i.e., production).
  • Analyze value and prepare business cases for new solutions proposed in supply chain, compared to organizational, process, and implementation of new technologies changes.
  • Analyze supply chain risk (Supply Chain Risk Assessment) and prepare mitigation plans and actions.
  • Support the implementation of digital platforms in supply chain and sustainability.
  • Design KPIs to measure supply chain performance in terms of economic efficiency and sustainability impact.
  • Improve procurement processes in terms of qualification and bidding, market research, should cost, sustainability.
  • Activities to improve supplier performance in terms of decarbonization of suppliers.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain and operation consultant and/or supply chain manager role.
  • Knowledge of main planning systems, demand forecasting, production scheduling, solutions for physical and logical tracking, warehouse, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles, circular economy, LCA, DPP.
  • Knowledge of community and international regulations for supply chain standardization.
  • Knowledge of supply chain platforms, e.g., Ecovadis, Open-Es.
  • Knowledge of should cost methodologies.
  • Attitude to challenges and working on projects.
  • Provenance from the consulting sector (mandatory).
  • Assertive communication skills oriented to change.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of the English language.
  • Good communication skills within complex organizations and ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
