Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional for the role of Application Integration Architect. This position is essential within our central Integration Team, where you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all integration activities involving software applications and third-party solutions to fulfill the organization's business needs. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a comprehensive application integration architecture blueprint.

This role will primarily operate within a European scope, and you will collaborate closely with the European Application team, reporting directly to the Head of Data Analytics & Integration. Occasional participation in various projects may be required to provide technical support to different teams, with potential travel across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and uphold an integration architecture blueprint for the organization.
  • Align integration planning and practices with strategic business objectives and the company's overarching vision.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of technical solutions, translating complex analytics insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business users.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee the integration of new applications into existing enterprise systems.
  • Contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of RESTful services (APIs) within established integration architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define integration requirements for their initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs while addressing any system issues.
  • Manage both internal resources and external team members, providing mentorship to junior staff as needed.
  • Assist in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of problems.
  • Establish standards and processes to facilitate integration projects and initiatives.
  • Work with analysts, designers, and system owners to test newly integrated software applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with software vendors to understand and provide feedback on their integration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner(s) to define the end-to-end product strategy and assess business value.
  • Research and recommend integration products and services to support procurement and development efforts, analyzing emerging technologies to influence project solutions.
  • Provide established guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions for integration practices.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 5 years of proven experience in a similar capacity, such as an Enterprise Architect or Integration Architect, with desirable official certifications.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
  • Experience in linking cross-functional applications across various business units and systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of core software applications, including MuleSoft and Microsoft Azure API Management Services.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration practices (Azure DevOps).
  • Experience working with APIs from commercial software applications, including CRM or ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Dynamics).
  • Strong understanding of relational database design and management techniques, with excellent SQL skills (T-SQL preferred).
  • Experience in web development technologies, particularly C# / .NET, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and traditional waterfall approaches.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with high-level business stakeholders, key users, and IT specialists.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a focus on results.
