Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Facility Operations Manager to lead our facility management team and ensure the efficient operation of our properties.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the execution of Ingka Facility Management within the unit(s) through the unit FM team.
  • Responsible for ensuring each property is managed throughout its lifetime, including safety, compliance, maintenance, and improvement, to create a safe and operational environment for the business, colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Implement relevant property management innovations, digital, and technical solutions that meet the needs of the business and our customers.
  • Optimize the efficiency of each property in a sustainable way.
  • Ensure colleagues, service providers, and external partners have up-to-date awareness and understanding of all FM frameworks, guidelines, and initiatives.
  • Responsible for all activities related to long-term planning, budget estimation, execution, follow-up, forecasting, and reporting within the FM scope within the unit(s).
  • Implement and evaluate supplier contracts at the unit level, aligning with internal governance structures for supplier contracts to improve efficiencies, costs, equipment, and quality.
  • Manage and coordinate external suppliers on the unit level.
  • Manage relationships with Business owners within the unit(s) to ensure business needs are met by collecting requirements, setting annual goals, and periodic follow-ups.
  • Develop the team's competence, performance, and ensure a succession plan in the unit.
Requirements
  • Supplier management: extensive knowledge of external service provider frameworks and coordination of external suppliers.
  • Project management: general knowledge of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects.
  • Sustainability aspects in Facility Management: good knowledge of how sustainability interacts with FM (energy consumption, water consumption, emissions, waste management, chemical products, purchasing).
  • Facility Management scope and ways of working: awareness of which services are included in the agreed FM service scope in Ingka and understanding the FM delivery model, as well as the position of Facility Management within the Ingka business.
  • Facility Management business processes: good understanding of the main FM business processes (e.g. work order management for urgent, planned, and reactive maintenance + contract and supplier management) on-site level.
  • Technical knowledge on buildings and equipment: high-level technical understanding and experience in all aspects of a retail building and connected equipment, as well as understanding of FM asset management (maintenance and repair history, reinvestment planning).
  • Facility Management hard (technical) services: general knowledge of successfully delivering, organizing, and following up on 'hard' & 'soft' FM services (technical maintenance, IKEA Food equipment, cleaning, pest control, snow removal, waste management, etc).
  • IT tools relevant for Facility Management: general knowledge of all relevant IT tools within Facility Management.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
