About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS professional to join our team as the Site EHS Head. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our EHS management system, leading EHS regulatory compliance, and providing guidance and support to our site managers and employees.

Main Responsibilities

* Lead EHS regulatory compliance, providing guidance and support to site managers and employees, conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
* Assess and mitigate EHS risks, identifying risks and defining proactive mitigations, ensuring that site investment and changes in processes, equipment, and systems are carried out in accordance with EHS concepts and relevant requirements.
* Design and implement the annual EHS plan, collaborating with the site leadership team to create, implement, monitor, and update the site EHS plan.
* Monitor, analyze, and share EHS information, providing necessary data to site managers, Global EHS, and other internal and external stakeholders to support EHS objectives and enhance our reputation.
* Promote a sustainable EHS culture, creating and maintaining an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude and a firm belief that 'target zero' is achievable.
* Provide expertise, guidance, coaching, and training to managers and employees, developing and implementing training programs to ensure EHS knowledge and skills.
* Lead continuous EHS improvement, using Operational Excellence principles and visible-felt leadership to achieve 'target zero' goals and enable compliant operations and business effectiveness.

Requirements

* Minimum 4 years of work experience in EHS in a chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science-based field, with a Master's degree in Safety/Industrial Hygiene/Environment an advantage.
* Professional certifications required when legally necessary, with other certifications (CSP, CIH) considered a plus.
* Fluency in English and Italian, with experience with management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
