Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Join Sensia Global as a Field Service Engineer and play a crucial role in managing maintenance activities, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of sophisticated integrated control and security systems for the Oil Gas industry.

About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Service Manager to plan and schedule site activities. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with project and service managers to plan and schedule site activities
  • Programming, debugging, and modifying PLC software using ControlLogix, AAdvance, and Trusted
  • Configuring, debugging, and modifying HMI software using FactoryTalkView
  • Handling industrial networks/switches configuration, debugging, and modification
  • Performing loop checks, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
  • Reading and understanding wiring diagrams and making small changes to the wiring of control cabinets
  • Preparing comprehensive site reports and timesheets
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Mandatory knowledge in computer science and electrical/electronic disciplines, ideally applied in the automation industry
  • Essential proficiency in PLC programming languages (Ladder, Function Block, Structure Text)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience with direct customer contact on a technical basis
  • Fluency in Italian and intermediate proficiency in English
