Development Fundraiser

About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Officer to join our team at St. Matthew's House. As a key member of our Development team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors and prospects to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve performance targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Development team to coordinate joint solicitation efforts and align marketing and outreach initiatives.
• Conduct research to identify prospects and create strategies to match their interests to our priorities.
• Develop persuasive and accurate solicitation materials, including proposals, case statements, and reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred and at least five years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability in securing grants and gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other private funding sources.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with leadership, prospects, and donors.
• Ability to conduct research, gather data, and prepare effective reports to support development objectives.
