About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering & Supply team at Alfa Laval Corporate AB. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, systems, and plants for medium to high-level complexity projects in the prepared food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and plants for medium to high-level complexity projects.
  2. Prepare technical specifications and project documents, including P&ID, 3D and layout, Bill of Material (BOM), functional design specifications, mass and energy balances, etc.
  3. Select and design products and solutions based on customer requests and applicable standards and codes.
  4. Deliver input to improve current technical solutions and/or develop new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage.
  5. Participate in internal project meetings and in external meetings with customers to discuss/clarify process and design issues and engineering activities.
  6. Participate in commissioning and performance tests and assist in troubleshooting.
Requirements
  1. Mechanical Engineering degree or similar.
  2. At least 5 years' experience in relevant industries (food, aseptic processing or pharma) in equivalent roles.
  3. Knowledge of thermal treatment processing will be considered as a plus.
  4. Experience with engineering codes and standards (EHEDG and/or other equivalent codes for hygienic design are considered as a plus).
  5. Experience with project documents preparation (P&ID, 3D and layout, BOM, functional design specifications, mass and energy balances, etc.).
  6. Experience with commissioning support and plants start-up.
  7. Computer skills: Advanced user of Autodesk package (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault) and Microsoft Windows environments and Office package.
  8. Advanced level (B2 or better) in written and spoken English.
