We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Supervisor to join our team at Jd Electrical Home Solutions Llc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical and instrumentation aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Site Management Team in executing electrical and instrumentation works on our projects, from the erection phase to final commissioning and start-up.
- Review site project work packages, including Statements of Work, Site Instructions, and Installation manuals, to ensure that all works are in line with company standards and client specifications.
- Study project documentation and prepare detailed reports on changes made on site, collaborating with engineering offices as needed.
- Define the erection strategy and associated schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager and Commissioning Manager, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
- Inspect and evaluate the status of delivered items, identifying potential issues and reporting them to stakeholders.
- Work closely with the project team to develop effective solutions and ensure timely resolution of problems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and company policies pertaining to electrical and instrumentation installation.
- Manage the installation and testing of electrical systems and instrumentation, ensuring they operate effectively, efficiently, and safely.
- Supervise calibration, functional checks, loop checks, maintenance, and testing of equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems and software, resolving issues with suppliers and engineering teams as needed.
- Perform system walk-downs, line checks, and punch-listing, ensuring clearance and closure.
- Supervise the installation of PLCs, DCSs, ESDs, hardware, software, power supplies, and associated networks.
- Prepare regular technical reports, maintain accurate documentation, and update relevant records.
- Provide guidance and support to the NCA team on-site, fostering a positive work environment and promoting skills development.
- Strong electrical and/or instrumentation erection supervision background.
- Basic education qualification: completed university studies as an associate degree or comparable degree.
- Experience working with HT/LT/MV/LV and 3-phase power and equipment controls.
- Previous experience in closely related positions, with a minimum of 5-10 years of specific experience as a Supervisor in construction, oil and gas, or chemical industry, power plants (experience in electrolysis is a plus).
- Previous experience managing work crews and teams with a blend of different cultures and nationalities.
- Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and validation of respective systems in the industry (chemical, oil and gas preferred).
- Experience interpreting electrical, instrumentation, and controls installation plans, single-line diagrams, block diagrams, process-electric-pneumatic hook-up, loop diagrams, and PID construction drawings.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written (German, Italian, or other European languages are a plus).
- Availability to travel on prolonged stays at sites abroad (focus on Middle-East, US, and Europe).
- Willingness to relocate, if required.
- High attention to HSE topics and procedures.
- Capability to manage stressful situations.
- Practical approach with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of IT tools: MS Office, design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.), and MS Project.
