Job Title: Process Automation Engineer

We're seeking a talented Process Automation Engineer to join our team at Lilly. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of our equipment and processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the validated state of our site control systems, including the development and execution of validation strategies and associated documentation.
  • Carry out lead investigator and executor activities to ensure compliance with Lilly quality standards.
  • Provide day-to-day operations support related to our site's control systems, including troubleshooting issues, making changes to the control systems, and responding to system events.
  • Implement and support electronic systems used to capture process automation-related production data.
  • Design, specify, and code control systems, primarily our site's DCS systems.
  • Test automation system functionality and manage automation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to respect the production plan and interact with external parties, such as vendors.
Requirements:
  • M.S. in Engineering (Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or similar).
  • Fluent English spoken and written.
Additional Skills:
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and interpersonal interaction skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong knowledge of coding Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controller.
  • Possess a keen technical curiosity and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a desire for continuous improvement.
