Senior Logistics Buyer

Webuild, a global player in the construction industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Buyer to join its Procurement team in Milan. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in similar roles and a strong background in logistics and procurement.
Responsibilities:- Support the Global Commodity Manager in developing procurement strategies for logistics services
- Manage the entire sourcing process, including vendor selection, request for proposal preparation, and commercial and contractual negotiations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and global supply chain standards
- Analyze, compare, and evaluate vendor proposals, ensuring technical verification by relevant departments
- Prepare summary tables of final proposals and recommendations
- Develop and negotiate contracts and purchase orders, in collaboration with the Legal and Contracts departments
- Support relationships with vendors, adhering to the company's Code of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Model
- Collaborate with regional procurement managers and purchasing managers to develop procurement plans for operational units, aiming to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Support the Bidding and Start-up team during the bidding phase
- Identify corrective measures, in collaboration with the Global Commodity Manager and Vendor Management, to manage and mitigate procurement process issues
- At least 5-7 years of experience in similar roles and in multinational contexts
- Strong experience in managing key logistics stakeholders (including carriers, customs, agencies, etc.) and various types of transportation (air, sea, road, standard, heavy, etc.)
- Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration
- Market analysis and benchmarking skills
- Ability to select, develop, and manage the supplier base
- Ability to analyze the primary cost driver value
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office and SAP MM
- Availability for travel to construction sites and joint ventures
- Fluent English; knowledge of other languages will be positively evaluated
