Forest Educator

Bee in the Woods Forest School & Kindergarten is seeking a dedicated and passionate Forest Educator to join our exceptional team. Our unique outdoor childcare setting provides 3-6 year olds with a child-led and play-based environment, where nature is our teacher.

The Role

• Support two 4 year old children with additional social, emotional and behavioural needs in a supportive team role.
• Develop positive relationships through a playful approach, creating an enabling environment for confidence, social skills, emotional literacy, and learning through play.
• Work with our SEND Coordinator to provide innovative and inclusive care and learning opportunities, including Individual Education Plans and communication with parents and professionals.

Requirements

• Early Years Level 3 qualification or above.
• Experience in a SEND/Additional Support Role, working with 2-5 year olds.
• Forest school or outdoor experience is desirable.
• Passion for nature play and engaging children with the outdoors.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and safeguarding children obligations.
