Job Summary

Festival Foods is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Clerk II to join our team. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our products are accurately priced and displayed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, acknowledging, and reacting to guest needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by sanitizing, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that products are accurately priced and displayed, and that inventory levels are maintained at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Store Director, Grocery Department Manager, and other associates to maintain standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Guest Assistance: Assist guests with locating items on and off the sales floor, providing product suggestions and alternatives when appropriate.
  • Issue Resolution: Address guest concerns and resolve issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product received.
Requirements
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse crew in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to use the following equipment: power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor.
  • Physical Demands: Possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time, work in a cooler, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
  • Visual Monitoring: Possess functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and operate equipment.
