Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Journey Specialist (PJS) to enhance our global commercial operations. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building and nurturing relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), providing education on disease states, and supporting initiatives aimed at improving patient diagnosis and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a field-based medical representative for Ascendis Medical Affairs, enhancing the company's visibility within the scientific community and promoting disease awareness in targeted therapeutic areas.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with healthcare professionals and key organizations to support collaborative patient care initiatives.
- Deliver impactful medical and scientific presentations to stakeholders and assist at medical congresses and events, including training and onboarding for new team members.
- Collect and disseminate insights regarding disease states, the Ascendis portfolio, and competitor activities to internal teams.
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships, support the development and execution of strategic objectives, and maintain high levels of medical expertise while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and corporate policies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in a Health Science field, with experience in a pharmaceutical company in a Field Clinical/Medical role.
- Experience in pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology, or rare diseases is preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific and clinical information effectively in both Italian and English.

Travel Requirements: This position is field-based, with an estimated travel commitment of over 80%.
