The **Product Development Manager** will oversee the **Product Development** and production team while working closely with the design and sales teams within the **Fashion Company**'s head office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and Prioritize Product and Customer Requirements: Collect and analyze product and customer needs to inform product development decisions.
- Define Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and design teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Manage Product Data: Ensure accurate and timely data entry into product line management systems.
- Communicate with External and Internal Teams: Maintain regular communication with external and internal teams involved in product creation, merchandising, and production.
- Source Materials and Samples: Order raw materials directly from manufacturers for prototypes and samples.
- Handoff to Production: Transfer all ranges of products to production.
- Develop Product Categories: Collaborate with designers to develop each category from initial concept through to finished product.
- Resolve Development Issues: Provide information and resolve problems that arise during and after product development.
- Calculate Costs: Work with manufacturers to calculate costs for prototypes, samples, and production prices for each piece of the collection.
- Manage Margin Requirements: Ensure all products meet margin requirements and are aware of costs at wholesale and retail.
- Ensure Sample Deliveries: Ensure all sample deliveries are on time to showrooms prior to sales presentation.
- Implement Development Critical Path: Develop and implement a critical path with manufacturers to ensure prototype deadlines are met.
After a 6-month stage, if proven capabilities, determination, and passion for the role are demonstrated, a contract will be offered to join the **BYBLOS** team. The role involves translating design ideas and concepts into reality, ensuring that a collection responds to style and meets production standards, selling prices, delivery dates, and points of sale.
