About the Role

FM Global is seeking a highly skilled Plan Review Consultant to join our Consulting & Technical Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth reviews of technical drawings and specifications for new construction projects, with a focus on fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of fire protection and construction submittals to ensure compliance with FM Global's Property Loss Prevention Standards.
  • Identify potential risks and deficiencies in fire protection systems, as well as other hazards such as equipment and natural perils.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project engineers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project.
  • Provide technical support for client requests and collaborate with the management team to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with a strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and computer-based calculation tools, with experience in building information modeling a plus.
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems and VDS/FM Global Standards is required.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
