Medical Strategy Lead - Cardiovascular Portfolio Growth

The IQVIA Cardiovascular Center of Excellence is seeking a Medical Strategy Lead to drive growth of our Cardiovascular portfolio through scientific and clinical expertise. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for harnessing IQVIA's vast data and clinical trial resources to develop innovative, data-driven, and patient-centered solutions for Cardiovascular trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative delivery strategies and solutions for Cardiovascular trials or studies, addressing customer needs and challenges.
  • Partner with Indication-Specific Medical Strategy, Operations, Sales, and other functions to achieve annual Gross New Business targets and include Cardiovascular elements in proposals.
  • Provide scientific, clinical, and operational advice to internal stakeholders developing proposals, including protocol design, data mining, and regulatory review.
  • Support customer and bid defense meetings, including training and preparation of project teams, and present at customer meetings as required.
  • Participate in strategic business development activities, including presentations to prospective clients and professional meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of industry pipeline and scientific and business landscape, and support due diligence research of the Cardiovascular landscape.
  • Lead Cardiovascular thought leadership at IQVIA, including publications, presentations, and scientific activities.
Requirements:
  • A physician with experience in Cardiology, with a degree from an accredited and internationally recognized school.
  • 5+ years of clinical research experience, including hands-on operational delivery and/or drug development experience.
  • Robust and current knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and competitive landscape in Cardiology.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including good command of the English language.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and lead a virtual team in a matrix organization.
  • Innovative and strategic thinker, with strong business acumen and ability to work in sales and operational environments.
  • Flexible and able to work in situations where specifications may or may not be well defined, and willing to support work in other therapeutic areas when required.
