Hotel Accountant Job Description

Estimated salary range: €35,000 - €50,000 per annum.

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Florence, Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hotel's accounts payable and receivable functions, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.

  • Prepare and post daily revenues and banking documents.
  • Reconcile, review, and submit quarterly and/or monthly VAT.
  • Review all payments and submit for bank load and approval.
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile PAYE payments to payroll software and ensure HMRC portal management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have strong analytical and numerical skills, as well as a good understanding of basic accounting functions. Previous experience in hotels or income audit/accounts payable is preferred but not mandatory.
