Job Title: Master Data Support

STERIS is seeking a highly skilled Master Data Support professional to join our team in Pomezia, Italy. As a key member of our Master Data Management (MDM) team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date master data, ensuring data integrity and governance across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain bill of materials and item codes information in accordance with MDM policies and procedures.
  • Ensure master data integrity in key systems and maintain processes to support data quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to items and BOM setup using established guidelines.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and help resolve data quality problems.
  • Conduct data cleaning to remove old, unused data or duplicates for better management and quicker access.
  • Maintain a full audit trail of data changes.
  • Provide timely and complete resolution of ad-hoc internal and external data queries.
  • Determine priority of work and address issues in a timely manner based on understanding of critical factors.
  • Manage own time by estimating time to complete, setting deadlines, and communicating in advance when not expected to meet deadlines.
  • Propose process efficiency improvements in execution of work, automation opportunities, rationalization of processes, and training/education.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of planning, purchasing, and/or master data experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong critical self-review skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to deliver clear, concise, and relevant communication through appropriate methods and tools.
  • Proactive approach to role and problem-solving; solution-focused.
  • Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with key stakeholders within and outside of the MDM team.
  • Inquisitive and thorough in approach.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, with ability to deal with high levels of complexity, change, and evolving processes, often at short notice.
  • Experience maintaining master data in an ERP system.
  • Demonstrated mid-level or above proficiency with MS Office Excel, analyzing and manipulating large datasets through formulas and macros.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of English language (B2 level and above).
  • ORACLE knowledge would be a plus.
