Position Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Infrastructure Consultant to enhance our Business and Investors Advisory (BIA) team based in Milan.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is designed for a Junior Analyst within the BIA sector. Typical assignments include delivering commercial, technical, and economic insights to a variety of stakeholders such as financial investors, infrastructure operators, governmental bodies, developers, and international financial institutions, particularly in the infrastructure domain.

The ideal candidate will utilize a range of quantitative skills, from data analysis and visualization to financial and economic modeling, to support our clients across various projects in transport, traditional energy, and social infrastructure sectors, ensuring accountability for the quality of deliverables.

In this capacity, you will engage in individual projects that encompass technical, commercial, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) due diligence to guide lenders, buyers, or sellers of infrastructure assets. The focus will be on evaluating potential investments by identifying and analyzing technical, operational, commercial, and reputational risks and opportunities.

Your responsibilities may also extend to broader advisory tasks in both public and private sectors, depending on your expertise. Additional activities may include:

  • Assisting with project management duties
  • Contributing to research and analytical projects
  • Supporting client engagement initiatives
  • Enhancing sector knowledge
  • Facilitating process improvements and developments

Qualifications:

Essential qualifications include:

  • A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in infrastructure projects, including transport (highways, railways, airports, smart mobility), social infrastructure (hospitals, educational institutions), and energy (district heating, biomass, hydrogen, hydroelectric power).
  • 0 to 3 years of post-graduation experience with a proven track record in commercial or transaction due diligence within the infrastructure sector.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • A collaborative team player who performs well under pressure while maintaining high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to various infrastructure-related projects across different domains.
