Job Description
Summary
As a Commissioning Engineer at HITACHI ENERGY ITALY S.P.A., you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective completion of commissioning activities on projects with low to medium complexity. You will work to implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation, while also supporting the continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of commissioning activities, supporting the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager in coordinating installation activities.
- Assist in creating proposals for engineering projects, providing bills of materials and estimated engineering hours, and support Contract Managers in issuing claims.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase, identifying and reporting potential risks and recommending resolutions to management.
- Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification, identifying and recommending new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs.
- Manage external organizations to ensure the availability of commissioning equipment, systems, or services, and provide relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with contractors/colleagues.
- Use standard processes to ensure all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrotechnical Engineering or Technical Diploma.
- Experience of 6+ years with control and protection systems is nice to have.
- Good knowledge of English (B1/B2).
- Experience with test devices (Omicron, Isa) is nice to have.
- Ability to work in a team and problem solving.
- Availability to travel between Italy and Europe (90%).
