Trims Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Trims Specialist to join our Supply Chain Department in Bologna. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our Material Manager in the development of trims with external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, update, and maintain the internal Trims Chart file to ensure accurate and timely information for all teams involved.
  • Communicate with nominated suppliers to ensure delivery lead-time is on track and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Attend internal meetings to discuss trims development, report production issues, and propose solutions.
  • Update our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system with new trims information and technical sheets.
  • Coordinate pre-production samples with Design and Product Compliance teams.
  • Manage consumable materials' orders and shipping documents with Logistics and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Background in economics, sales, textile, or a related field with a strong knowledge of materials.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in the fashion industry or a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a analytical and problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel, and knowledge of PLM or similar systems.
