POSITION OVERVIEW
Fresenius Medical Care, a global leader in dialysis technology and renal care services, is seeking a Senior Software Architect.
This role will report directly to the Head of Software Systems & Product Architecture within the Digital Services and Solutions division.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role as a senior member of the Software System and Product Architecture team, focusing on the design and development of software solutions that support our diverse product offerings. The primary emphasis will be on the core and extended services for managing therapies and operations in various care settings, including Home, In-Center, and Critical Care. Additionally, this position will involve architectural design for Cloud Platforms, HealthTech IoT, Medical Device integration, and EHR systems, adhering to industry standards.
The position allows for a hybrid work model, with the opportunity to work remotely for part of the week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and categorize domains that effectively partition the digital ecosystem into functional components. Deliver reliable and functionally rich modules in alignment with the architectural framework, utilizing agile methodologies. Differentiate between medical and non-medical device functionalities to facilitate rapid and independent development cycles. Provide expert guidance in software architecture and engineering methodologies. Collaborate with teams from Customer Journey & Experience and Technology, Innovation, and Architecture to establish a robust and future-proof software architecture.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. At least 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on platform and product architecture. Proficient in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus. Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed. Ability to manage workload effectively during peak periods to meet delivery commitments.TECHNICAL SKILLS
Understanding of basic networking principles. Familiarity with Virtual Machines. Proficient in Windows and Linux environments. Experience with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Miro and Figma. Proficient in Microsoft Stack (.NET, C#). Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures. Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with React and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL). Familiarity with document databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB). Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure. Proficient in shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
