About the Role:

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly motivated and experienced O&M Manuals & Training Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will be responsible for managing a group of experienced technical writers to produce high-quality operation and maintenance documentation for our customers. This role will also involve arranging training courses and ensuring effective interface management between our design and build team and our operations and maintenance team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage a team of technical writers to produce operation and maintenance documentation for our customers
• Ensure timely provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget
• Prepare and deliver Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan
• Ensure preparation of Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training courses
• Develop an understanding of how our customers use the manuals and what content needs are helpful

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• 2-5 years of experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team
• Minimum 3 years of railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, and applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Leadership skills and ability to manage international projects
