We are in search of a skilled Tender Specialist to contribute to our future initiatives. Based in Milan, within the Purchasing Department of the Projects Business Unit, reporting to the Strategic Tenders Coordinator, the selected candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Conduct spend analysis to formulate purchasing strategies for assigned projects.
- Establish the most appropriate contractual strategy relevant to the assigned projects.
- Determine the optimal sourcing strategy for the projects.
- Implement purchasing protocols and processes.
- Negotiate contractual and pricing strategies to ensure cost savings while maintaining technical alignment.
- Ensure adherence to Purchasing governance within Group and Business Unit processes.
- Encourage early involvement of Purchasing and engagement of suppliers.
- Assist the technical department during the bidding phase, including supplier selection and communication.
- Devise effective strategies to engage strategic suppliers during the bidding process.
- Identify opportunities for Pre-Bid Agreements strategically.
- Manage complex contractual negotiations (e.g., FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO), ensuring necessary back-to-back agreements with main contracts with legal support.
- Explore the market to broaden the supplier base for strategic commodities.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Solid professional background in multinational companies with matrix organizations.
- Determined, enthusiastic, and committed to navigating complexity and challenges.
