We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a key member of our design engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and verification of power management ICs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and partition system functions among analog, digital, and firmware implementation.
- Propose, architect, and design RTL in Verilog for use in mixed-signal integrated circuits.
- Contribute to the development of digital designs and write device-level or subsystem specifications.
- Employ clocking controls, FSM design, low power techniques, and area-efficient design concepts.
- Conduct design, architecture, and verification reviews.
- Mentor and train junior and new college graduate engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of experience, Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 7+ years of experience.
- Experience in digital design implementation, including logical synthesis and DFT insertion with high coverage.
- Experience in static timing analysis and creation of place and route constraints.
- Experience in formal verification, lint, and CDC/RDC checking.
- Experience in asynchronous clock crossings and synthesis implications of RTL.
- Experience in implementing and verifying ECOs on RTL, synthesized, and post-route netlists.
- Experience with gate-level simulations, causes, and implications of timing violations.
- Experience in ATPG generation and ATE support.
- Experience creating block and chip-level verification tests and verification plan development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Programming/scripting skills such as C, Assembly, Perl, Python, etc.
- Prior lead digital design experience on large mixed-signal SOCs.
- Prior experience developing digital solutions with high-speed serial data interfaces.
- Prior experience in developing digital solutions for power voltage regulator systems.
