Industrial Construction Project Manager Position

At Liz Italiana, we are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Construction Project Manager to join our team.

The salary for this position is $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

As an Industrial Construction Project Manager at Liz Italiana, you will be responsible for managing industrial construction projects from start to finish.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Receiving and reviewing RFQ bid documents
  • Applying take-off quantities into estimating spreadsheets to develop bid costs
  • Preparing proposal documents, inspections, general sales, and supplier negotiations
  • Maintaining files of working documents as a backup to the estimate
  • Preparation of cost analysis reports on a regular basis for record keeping and presentation to management as necessary
  • Participating in developing current project updates, including updating bill of material quantities, developing recovery schedules, tracking project progress as percent complete, and determining estimated vs. actual for various project statistics
  • Preparing progress requests (invoices) for submission to customers as directed by the company president and following up with customers to ensure prompt payment is received for work completed
  • Writing correspondences to customers and owners on matters of importance per direction of the company director
  • Participating in the evaluation of completed jobs and compiling accurate cost histories for use in future estimates

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering or construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in industrial construction, preferably with refractory knowledge
  • The ability to read drawings
  • The ability to perform quantitative take-offs/estimates via drawings or field surveys
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer skills
  • Proven successful oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A strong detail orientation, accuracy being a must
  • The ability to handle several tasks and projects simultaneously
  • The ability to travel 33% of the time
  • Leadership aptitude and interest
  • Strong business acumen
