Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Technician to join our team at DiaSorin. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our laboratory, ensuring the smooth operation of our molecular biology processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, adhering to QA and EH&S guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage consumable and reagent stocks, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Support the preparation and labeling of reagents, as well as the preparation of reagents for quality control.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department to prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Work closely with the Technical and Laboratory Leader to maintain laboratory documentation and ensure quality standards.
  • Plan and report activities with the Technical and Laboratory Leader.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and teams.
  • Organize the collection and shipment of reagents to other sites.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day lab activities, including RNA/DNA extractions, PCR/RT-PCR, and cell culture.
  • Perform real-time stability testing and incoming testing of raw materials.
Requirements
  • Third Level Degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Specialization in Biology and Biotechnology is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in scientific laboratories, preferably in biology and/or biotechnology.
  • Knowledge of good molecular laboratory practice.
  • Preferred experience in cell cultures and DNA/RNA extraction techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High commitment, self-motivation, and flexibility.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Some travel may be required.
