Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion System Engineer to join our team in Italy. As a member of our Spacecraft Propulsion group, you will contribute to the definition and improvement of Propulsion System designs for Spacecrafts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine propulsion subsystems composed of chemical thrusters.
  • Manage technical coordination between multiple suppliers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Regularly report to the Head of Propulsion and Lead System Engineer on project progress.
  • Define Propulsion Subsystem requirements and specifications.
  • Support analyses for the propulsion subsystem and provide technical expertise.
  • Assist in satellite propulsion Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of green chemical propulsion systems and related disciplines.
  • Experience with fluidic, pressurized systems, and propulsion equipment.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with EcosimPro/RPA.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics and its applications in propulsion systems.
  • Previous experience in chemical propulsion system development and institutional projects.
  • Strong experience in reading and creating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, and Matlab.
Preferential Skills:
  • Experience with tank development and qualification.
  • Previous experience with Nitrous Oxide and Self-pressurized fluids.
  • Experience with CAD modeling software and CFD tools.
Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in aerospace engineering is required.
  • PhD in a related field is a strong asset.
  • Required experience: 2-5 years in chemical propulsion field.
Language:

Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
