YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are in search of dynamic, motivated, and inquisitive individuals to become part of our Agordo Operations Headquarters, the birthplace of our company.
As a Vision Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to spearhead transformation initiatives within our Automation Engineering division. The primary goal of this role is to achieve automation project targets while ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards that align with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established by the Production and Quality Teams.
The Vision Automation Engineer will provide technical support to automation suppliers located in various regions during the design, installation, and commissioning phases. Additionally, you will collaborate on both new and existing automation systems to enhance their efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with automation technical specifications and engage directly with project technical components using hardware and software tools.
- Define requirements and technical specifications for automation programming solutions.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and initiation of automated systems.
- Adhere to project timelines.
- Monitor the performance of installed machinery, focusing on efficiency and cycle time improvements, while proposing innovative automation solutions.
- Support the Production and Maintenance teams on automation machinery, effectively leading team members and collaborating with suppliers across different locations.
- Assume technical responsibility for new installations during the initial phase, with a strong emphasis on safety considerations.
- Develop vision software for robotic guidance, quality assurance, and dimensional inspections.
- Design vision systems, including hardware and optical setup (optics, lighting systems, cameras).
- Create software applications for industrial automation utilizing vision systems.
- Define requirements and technical specifications for human-machine interface programming.
- Manage suppliers involved in software development for industrial automation.
- Provide technical support for software applications.

- You possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- You have advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Python, along with experience in development environments like Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with HTML, C++, and JavaScript is advantageous.
- You have extensive experience in programming and designing vision systems, particularly in robotic guidance and calibration techniques using Cognex products in the InSight environment.
- You are knowledgeable in optics and lighting as applied to industrial vision systems.
- You have experience in programming and designing vision systems for dimensional and aesthetic inspections.
- You possess a strong understanding of industrial communication protocols, primarily Ethernet-IP, OPC, and CIP.
- You are enthusiastic about technological advancements that facilitate automation processes and outcomes.
- You demonstrate strong communication and facilitation skills, capable of presenting information to diverse audiences.
- You have technical expertise in robot programming (ABB/Denso preferred).
- You can accurately interpret hardware and fluidic mechanical drawings.
- PLC programming skills are a plus.
- You are fluent in both Italian and English.
