Job Description

This position reports to the Field Service Manager. Your role involves executing service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

You will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers, showcasing your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

The work model for this role is primarily onsite at our client's location in Livorno. You will be contributing to the Measurement Products Analytical & Service Business Unit in Italy.

Your main tasks include providing technical support and solving problems in your area of expertise via remote or onsite service in any Service category. This includes installing and maintaining Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and carrying out repair and preventive maintenance.

You will also prepare service reports and records necessary for quality of service and support sales on service offers for revamping, upgrading, and spare parts on systems. Additionally, you will deal with technical site interventions during on-call service availability that may include overnight or weekend shifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You possess highly developed skills in working with analysis systems, instruments, and have knowledge in maintaining Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems.
  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in service with proficiency in various service and test mythologies, relevant in-house and industrial standards related to Measurement Products Analytical.
  • Possession of knowledge in Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Power Plant market is advantageous.
  • You hold a Diploma in Electrics or Electronics field.
  • You are proficient in communicating in Italian and English; other languages are considered a plus.
  • You are able to manage work with autonomy and work effectively within a team.
  • You are willing to travel frequently for short or medium-duration missions (including abroad) and have the ability to proactively manage customer relationships and critical situations.
  • You can manage on-call service and follow onsite interventions depending on schedule 24/7, with no obstacles to traveling, and hold a valid driving license.
