Position Summary
We are in search of a dedicated Integration Engineer who will leverage a diverse skill set to assist clients in implementing comprehensive financial risk solutions that align with management and regulatory standards. This role emphasizes providing expert support and consultancy to ensure clients receive optimal guidance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consultancy and product support to clients and internal teams, grounded in a thorough understanding of the Algorithmics product suite and its implementation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and financial engineers to define and scope configuration, interfacing, and enhancement tasks.
  • Manage the setup and configuration of Algorithmics and third-party products, including troubleshooting and testing for initial installations and system upgrades.
  • Install products and tailored components at client locations, assist with acceptance testing, and provide initial support post-implementation.
  • Create customized solutions and modules using various development tools.
  • Design and implement interfaces between client source systems and Algorithmics products, focusing on data mapping and requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams as needed.
  • Present product overviews and lead discussions during client pre-sales engagements, developing pilot and proof-of-concept solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in software or database systems development and support, with a strong understanding of project life cycles and complex product installations.
  • Familiarity with database fundamentals (SQL, installation, sizing, performance); advanced DBA skills are not mandatory but beneficial.
  • Proficient in UNIX commands, file systems, and UNIX application installation and shell scripting.
  • Experience with systems interfacing or data migration, utilizing mapping tools or custom solutions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams on implementation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in office tools for documentation and financial validation.
  • Programming skills in Shell Scripting, Visual Basic, or Python are advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts (market risk/credit risk) in a commercial or treasury context.
  • Experience in reporting systems design and development, particularly with OLAP tools.
  • Knowledge of middleware solutions.
  • Development experience in coding languages such as VB, Java, or C++.
  • Understanding of web-based delivery and Java components.
