Deputy Team Leader Composite Design

At Red Bull, we're always pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence. As a Deputy Team Leader Composite Design, you'll play a key role in driving the design of assigned car parts forward, pursuing current directions and investigating new concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the group to achieve assigned performance targets.
  • Support the Composite Design Team Leader in planning, executing, and monitoring composite design projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, chassis, and external partners.
  • Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of quality control processes to ensure the highest standards in composite design and manufacturing.
  • Supervise the final sign off on the design release within the group.
  • Undertake studies, schemes, and car parts design based on aerodynamic info and car layout, according to Team Leader and Management guidelines.
  • Support in the design and detail specification of complex composite car components.
Requirements
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in composite design, particularly in the context of Formula 1 or high-performance automotive industries.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills required; Italian language fluency is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to motivate and guide a technical team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as a team player.
