Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Security Solutions Architect to join our team at Leonardo SpA. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing network and cyber security architectures for ground segments of satellite communication systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze and consolidate requirements concerning the cyber security architecture of ground segments for satellite communication systems.
  • Contribute to the design, development, implementation, deployment, and testing of a cyber security architecture.
  • Define networking solutions, configure, and troubleshoot physical and virtual equipment of the ground segment infrastructure.
  • Define cyber security system management processes, configuration, and procedures.
  • Identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities with regard to intrusions or cyber attacks on critical assets of the ground segments' infrastructures.
  • Maintain and analyze the ground segments' infrastructures with a focus on their correct classification to highlight critical issues and associated risks.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of a ground segment infrastructure according to applicable security requirements and risk analysis.
  • Produce documentation such as project slides, test procedures, analysis reports, and drafting processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Technical requirement management experience.
  • System engineering approach experience.
  • Knowledge of data communications systems (wired, satellite, radio/mobile).
  • Knowledge of information security management standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of bash scripting.
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and databases (SQL, Oracle).
  • Good knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of microservices architectures with containers.
  • Knowledge of legacy, mobile, and digital security detection techniques.
  • Good knowledge of cyber attack techniques and their countermeasures within the security engineering framework.
  • Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, STIG, and GDPR.
  • Knowledge of security technologies and products (SIEM, log management tools, endpoint security tools, forensic tools, network and security management tools).
  • Knowledge of cloud security.
  • Availability to work in defense/military projects.
  • Availability to be subjected to a security clearance process.
  • Availability to move outside the place of work for meetings and installations (Italy and abroad).
