About the Role
Copeland is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team in Italy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, managing remote resources, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in understanding, managing, and achieving each customer's expectations.
- Take ownership of engineering activities and proactively utilize methodologies, resources, and techniques for minimizing execution cost while maintaining schedule and quality standards.
- Be a focal point for all technical communication with the customer for assigned work.
- Fully understand the scope of work for all allocated engineering output and ensure it is delivered to requisite quality, budget, and schedule, advising the Manager of any customer-initiated changes in scope.
- Support the Management in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all personnel within the project team and actively support team members in achieving personal development objectives.
- Actively contribute to assigned bid activities to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and innovative and efficient solutions are proposed.
Requirements
- Engineering degree, state-certified technician, completed vocational training, or equivalent knowledge.
- + years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of managing system design, implementation, and factory/site acceptance test phases of process automation control systems (DCS preferred).
- Ability to lead a technical team – with leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and within defined timelines.
- Experience with direct customer contact.
- Highly proficient in Italian and English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Lifescience market and with batch application.
- Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity and networking (VLAN, router, network segmentation).
- Knowledge and experience in DCS control systems (DeltaV preferred).
