About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our Industrial & Engineering Technology team at Baker Hughes Gruppe. As a Welding Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative welding techniques and procedures to enhance the competitiveness of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement welding techniques, procedures, and equipment to solve complex fabrication problems.
  • Conduct research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures.
  • Develop and apply Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis to optimize welding processes.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate research findings and recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain welding procedures and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in welding technology.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in welding engineering with a strong background in materials science and engineering principles.
  • International Welding Engineer/Technologist certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
