Wood is seeking a Senior Process Safety/HSE Design Engineer to join its Projects – Process and Chemical Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Design HSE aspects, studies, and workshops in a wide range of Projects (Refinery, Petrochemical, Pharma) under the coordination of the Design HSE Department Manager.
The Role
The ideal candidate will have experience in chairing HAZID and HAZOP workshops, SIL Allocation/LOPA studies, and HSE aspects in engineering design (safety distances, ergonomics, fire & gas, etc.). Knowledge of CE marking according to European Safety Directives is also required.

- First, and preferably, further degree level qualifications covering Engineering, Process / Design Safety or Environmental disciplines.
- Experience in chairing HAZID/HAZOP workshop.
- Experience with SIL Allocation/LOPA studies.
- Experience in HSE aspects in engineering design (safety distances, ergonomics, fire & gas, etc).
- Knowledge of CE marking according to European Safety Directives.
- Ability in team-working.
- Multi-tasking approach.
- Availability for business trips.
- TUV (or equivalent) Functional Safety certification will be appreciated.
- Fluent English - good Italian.
- Knowledge of French or German Language is a plus.
