About the Role:

The Packaging Solutions Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to the sales team and ensuring the technical content of all quotations is complete and accurate. This will involve reviewing customer requirements, discussing with sales executives, and agreeing on the equipment and options to be offered to maximize the business opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and discuss customer requirements with sales executives and jointly agree on the equipment and options to be offered.
  • Review all quotation requests to ensure they are technically complete and correct.
  • Provide technical support to sales executives, including phone, email, and on-site support.
  • Arrange and supervise machine demonstrations and trials for customers.
  • Support customer pre-delivery inspections and factory acceptance tests.
  • Undertake machine installation, commissioning, and site acceptance tests at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support for new machine development projects.
  • Work with the engineering teams to provide descriptions and costs of bespoke parts.
  • Assess installation time requirements and advise the service team.
  • Participate in the engineering team's technical review of all orders received.
  • Work with the sales administration team to provide technical input into equipment price lists.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, at least 5 years' experience in a similar engineering role, and 3 years' experience of operating packaging machinery in customers' factories. They will be commercially aware, able to work in a dynamic environment, and have a high level of attention to detail.

Preferred Requirements:

Project management experience and hands-on ability to operate VFFS equipment and feeding systems are desirable.

Location:

The main workplace is Mestrino (PD) - Italy.
