Job Title: Cost Controller Senior (Expert Profile)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller Senior to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and value-added analysis and reporting on a project. This role will contribute to the effective running of projects and comprise responsibility for, but not limited to, cost performance status reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure analysis and understanding of the Project Contract and Scope
  • Produce short and long-term cash flow projections in a continuous and timely manner
  • Maintain constant awareness of progress of work by pro-actively collecting the necessary supporting material (planning and reports) and information from all reliable sources
  • Analyze Actual / Committed Project cost
  • Ensure the timely coding, collection, analysis and reporting of all project expenditure, together with the budget holder(s)
  • Conduct reconciliation of forecasted and actual cost and the preparation of the project accruals
  • Ensure proactive methods in sharing knowledge and experience, raising areas of difficulty and concern and assisting in improving routines
  • Participate on estimate of Variations Orders, prepare supporting data and documentation and implement validated VO budgets into the cost control system
  • Ensure in-depth analysis and reporting of variances on a periodic basis as well as calculate on a monthly basis the Estimate To Complete (ETC) project cost/revenue
  • Ensure all costs are allocated to the right destinations (contracting entities, CBS, etc)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration)
  • Professional Qualifications ideally in Cost Management, Project Management or Engineering
  • 4 - 6 years project controls experience as a Cost Controller
  • Understanding of the EPC projects
  • Experience of delivering Cost Control methodologies to various types and sizes of projects
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
  • Experience in working with data bases like SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Advanced)
  • Ethical knowledge and application of Cost Control and associated systems
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong team building attitude and results oriented
  • Attitude to work and collaborate with an international team
  • Attitude to detail analysis and capacity to provide precise and logical synthesis
