We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Engineering to lead our engineering team in Monfalcone, Italy. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in engineering and at least 15 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in engineering leadership in a mechanical and manufacturing environment.


The Manager of Engineering will be responsible for driving operational excellence and achieving business growth across the Engineering Function of the organization. This involves setting the direction for the organization, guiding and building individual teams, and implementing common engineering processes to achieve desired outcomes.


The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills, experience in managing engineering process improvement, and a strong ability to motivate teams to work together efficiently. They will also be able to effectively utilize team members to their fullest potential, coach, develop, and mentor key employees, and integrate the local engineering team with the multinational organization.

The Manager of Engineering will be responsible for:



  • Driving the culture of the Engineering organization and establishing what kind of performance is rewarded or encouraged
  • Guiding the implementation of common Engineering processes to achieve desired outcomes
  • Implementing personnel performance improvement and skills development process to develop adequately trained and qualified resources
  • Implementation and integration of the Global Competency Model into all aspects of managing personnel
  • Assuring safety, health, and regulatory compliance within the group
  • Drive Innovation and identify improvements to existing product lines and capabilities
  • Assure that the Engineering team is equipped with appropriate processes and the right tools to execute projects
  • Meet minimum hiring expectations as well as participating in hiring plan and establishing criteria for hiring personnel
  • Implement and maintain the Book of Skills and Technical Leader Development Programs
  • Participate in establishing how Engineering serves and interacts with other departments within the company
  • Establish priorities and align resources to achieve business objectives
  • Prioritize tasks and supervise direct reports in their respective responsibilities to achieve yearly goals
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with all direct reports
