Avionic Systems Architect

We are seeking an Avionic Systems Architect to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our System Design Department, you will be responsible for defining and managing complex avionic system designs.

Key duties include:

  • Acting as a member of the System Design Department for avionics aspects.
  • Defining and designing the system functional/avionics architectures and relevant interfaces.
  • Performing functional analysis of complex space systems, defining the functions and Sub-Systems necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Eliciting system avionics requirements and defining the hardware/software partition.
  • Following on avionic Sub-Systems procurement.
  • Coordinating avionics verification and validation both at subsystem and system level.
  • Supporting Quality Assurance for discussion and disposition of NCRs during manufacturing, integration, and testing activities.
  • Interfacing with customers.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A Master's degree in Engineering, with a preference for electronic fields.
  • Previous work experience of at least five years in the requested discipline and field (Space) is mandatory.
  • Master SEEDS is appreciated.
  • Ability and experience in managing Subcontractors from both a technical and programmatic point of view.
  • Attitude to manage and be a leader of a technical Team.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Good will in facing and learning new things.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of design and simulation tools (Matlab and Phyton).
  • Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (ARCADIA) is appreciated (not mandatory).
