Software Development Leader

At Alstom, we're committed to creating innovative transportation solutions that connect cities and reduce carbon emissions. As a Software Development Leader, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software for our trains, ensuring they're safe, efficient, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of software for train control and information systems, ensuring compliance with engineering work packages and design rules.
- Manage the deployment of software development procedures, processes, and design rules on projects, ensuring proper hardware and software configuration.
- Oversee the management and traceability of hardware and software configurations, producing release notes and ensuring baseline content is accurate.
- Monitor and control project KPIs, reporting to the Software Domain Leader and ensuring software validation is completed.
- Design and implement embedded software modules for TCMS equipment, adhering to software requirements, design specifications, and interface control documents.
- Manage project timelines, reporting delays or issues to the work package owner or supervisor.
- Define functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications, integrating software modules within TCMS subsystems.
- Ensure the overall performance of executable code loaded on target, initiating action plans to solve issues and improve results.
- Establish and share Return on Experience with the Domain Leader, proposing improvements on software development processes and tools.
- Contribute to the generation of Quality Plans and manage sub-contractors.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in electronic or software engineering required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in software development, with hands-on experience in requirement gathering, software development, and hardware-software integration.
- High experience in software embedded design and implementation for complex diagnostics data management systems using C/C++ language.
- Good working level knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and network protocols like MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RS 232, and RS 485.
- English: highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team, with good communication and reporting capabilities.
- Open to change and willing to carry out new tasks, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
