Senior System Administrator for Satellite Communication Systems

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our team at Telespazio.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, implementing, deploying, and testing private and public cloud infrastructure, physical HW and virtual machines, and microservices infrastructure.

Key responsibilities will include contributing to the design and development of system, network, and cyber security processes, configurations, and procedures, as well as maintaining and analyzing system infrastructures.

Additional duties will include producing documentation such as project slides, test procedures, analysis reports, drafting processes, and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Linux and Windows operating systems, databases (SQL, Oracle), virtual environments (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V), and orchestrator and microservices environments with containers.

They will also possess knowledge of security technologies and products, such as SIEM, Log Management, endpoint security tools, Network and Security Management Tools.

As a member of our team, the candidate will work closely with security engineers, network engineers, and technicians on various projects focused on engineering Ground Segments for satellite communication systems.

Requirements:
  • Technical Requirement management
  • System engineering approach
  • Knowledge of data communications systems (Wired, Satellite, Radio/Mobile)
  • Knowledge of information security management standards and best practices
  • Knowledge of bash scripting
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and databases (SQL, Oracle)
  • Good knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V)
  • Good knowledge of orchestrator and microservices environments with containers
  • Knowledge of security technologies and products
  • Availability to work in defense/military projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Computer and information technologies
  • Degree in computer engineering or telecommunication engineering or similar
