About the Role:

We are seeking an Advanced Process Control Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our custom application delivery team, you will work with Rockwell Automation's advanced analytics and model predictive control products to create online applications that improve our customers' manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will include assessing customer processes, developing mathematical models, and configuring online applications to dynamically control product quality, production capacity, and energy usage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical project activities, including design, system integration, and installation, as assigned by the Regional Technical Manager.
  • Identify technical issues that impact project performance and provide project information related to cost performance against plan.
  • Support the Regional Technical Manager's documentation of best practices for use in the development of applications.
  • Lead advanced analytics projects and provide mentoring to less experienced engineers.
  • Provide product, engineering, and application support to existing customers.
  • Follow up on recommendations to sustain and maximize the value of our applications.
  • Support sales closure activities as requested by the Regional Delivery Manager.
  • Request/undertake professional development as required to remain billable/cost-effective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or other engineering with a focus on modeling, statistics, or process control.
  • Strong interest in automation, process control, and advanced model-predictive applications.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in leading complex projects in a process industry.
  • Experience with instrumentation, industrial control systems, and supervisory control applications.
  • Experience with advanced process control implementation or business case development.
  • Familiarity with DCS (SCADA, HMI, etc.) and/or PLC configuration.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience implementing advanced control solutions in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in leading complex projects.
  • Experience with industrial computing, networking, OPC, and ODBC/SQL data communications.
  • Experience with DCS (SCADA, HMI, etc.) and/or PLC configuration, especially in the context of integration with external applications.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation or competitive model predictive control products.
