Job Title: Senior Network Development Engineer

At Vodafone, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting our network fabric and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network solutions and detailed designs considering specifics like room location, TOR, raw row, hardware and stock allocation, Subnets, VLANs, etc.
  • Contribute to architecture design process working closely with Network Architects and following their guidance.
  • Participate in Network lifecycle management through network build and/or upgrade projects.
  • Collaborate with program/project managers to develop milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and safely execute network change using existing procedures and tools.
  • Serve as technical lead for team projects.
  • Contribute to the development of roadmap and has responsibility for developing standalone features.
  • Act as Technical Product Owner of one of the Network Engineering product lines and provide the vision and direction to the Scrum team throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Manage stakeholders and market needs to align the team to deliver top-notch features, market value, and increase customer satisfaction and other related KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree or technical institute certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.
  • 7+ years of work experience in designing, developing, deploying, and/or administering Network infrastructure solutions at the expert certification level.
  • Experience of current and emerging virtualization, infrastructure, and cloud network technologies and architectures such SDN ACI, SD WAN, NSX, Amazon, OCI, Azure, Google networks.
  • Experience working closely with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, XP, and with teams leveraging DevOps and Continuous Delivery/Integration.
  • Strong understanding of IT management best practice frameworks, such as ITIL.
  • Professional experience and knowledge of the Telecommunications industry strongly preferred.
