Junior Buyer for EMEA Glass Category

Key Responsibilities and Activities
Under the supervision of the EMEA Glass Buyer:
- Supports and implements the Global Glass Strategy within the EMEA Region, encompassing various countries.
- Works collaboratively with Business Stakeholders and Procurement teams to execute the Glass Category strategy.
- Engages with other departments (R&D, Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, etc.) to align Procurement priorities and objectives.
- Identifies and assesses category opportunities and synergies across the Procurement Pillars, quantifying potential advantages.
- Evaluates Glass Category data and performance against established KPIs, contributing to the creation of new relevant KPIs when necessary.
- Aids in the development of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program within the Region.
- Proposes enhancements to Category efficiency through supplier, product, and process standardization and automation in collaboration with Global Procurement.
- Contributes to initiatives aimed at Cost Optimization beyond mere price negotiations.
- Reports and analyzes category-specific productivity results using dedicated tools.
- Analyzes cost transparency and control measures.
- Assists in collaborative programs with Suppliers aligned with Sustainability objectives.
- Supports the EMEA Glass Buyer in financial analysis regarding Category cost evolution versus Budget.
- Stays informed on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Promotes continuous improvement of business processes and IT systems.
- Participates in supplier performance review meetings.
- Aims to be recognized as a valuable business partner and contributor.
Key Relationships
Internal: EMEA Glass Buyer, Global Glass Team members, Regional Procurement Managers, Regional Quality Managers, Finance Team, Marketing Team, Planning Team, Manufacturing Team.
External: Suppliers, external consultants involved in projects.
Experience, Education & Skills
- Experience in cross-cultural environments and working across various countries at multiple organizational levels.
- A background in Business Economics or Engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Fluency in English and Italian is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- International work experience is a plus.
