Job Description

As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing categories of non-production related spend, driving cost savings and improving efficiency across various business functions.

  • Develop and execute indirect procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service levels across assigned categories.
  • Perform market research to understand industry trends, identify potential suppliers, and assess supplier capabilities.
  • Lead the supplier selection process, including conducting RFPs, RFQs, and supplier negotiations.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, contract management, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement procurement best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to implement sourcing strategies and supplier transitions.
  • Provide regular reports on category performance, including savings, supplier performance, and market trends.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. A Master's degree or an advanced certification such as CIPS or CPSM is a plus.
  • Proven experience (min 5 years) in procurement, sourcing, or a similar role, with a focus on indirect spend.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, IFS, TEAMS, or similar.
