Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Mathematics courses online. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, engage with students, and maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials, aligning with CTU's curricula and outcomes.
  • Engage with students, encouraging participation and learning, while maintaining mutual respect and professionalism.
  • Relate professional/industry experience to CTU's Professional Learning Model, introducing perspectives and trends into courses.
  • Maintain accessibility and provide timely responsiveness to students, academic/faculty leadership, and University staff.
  • Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain documentation of student course activities.
  • Work with CTU teams to identify and support students who may be exceptional or challenged in their coursework.
  • Refer students to co-curricular and extra-curricular resources, such as advising, tutoring, and career services.
  • Participate in academic governance, attending University/college/program meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Mathematics or a subfield, or an out-of-field graduate degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in the field/subfield.
  • Significant online teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in meeting deadlines and urgency in responding to questions/requests.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in working effectively, cooperatively, and flexibly in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office and mobile applications.
