About the Job

The Vodafone Italy Business Intelligence and Big Data team is responsible for the Vodafone Italy data stack, encompassing Business Intelligence and Analytics Systems. This team provides data and services to various stakeholders, including predefined reports for business users, self-service reporting for advanced BI users, and an analytics platform for data scientists. Our platform leverages standard BI and ETL tools, as well as modern real-time data streaming tools, to address multiple business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand data and transform it within a multi-speed environment.
  • Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions to bring them to life.
  • Design and develop extensions to the data platform, focusing on the E2E data pipeline.
  • Automate data manipulation and extraction through CI/CD pipelines and CloudOps functionalities.
  • Participate in an international team.
  • Utilize analytical skills to create new value from our data.
  • Lead a team of skilled engineers.
  • Understand Data Architecture Design.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior resources.
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or other STEM fields.
  • Working experience in similar roles (3+ years).
  • Knowledge of SQL, NOSQL, Hadoop/Big Data, and data modeling concepts.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and patterns.
  • Understanding of CI/CD frameworks, leveraging tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Understanding of distributed compute frameworks, such as Spark.
  • Knowledge of data preparation.
  • Good communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Data Architecture on GCP or other Cloud Providers for storage, compute (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience in Agile Scrum Methodology.
